 When the UK first went into lockdown (in March of 2020) I really wasn’t too sure what to do with myself.

Overnight, every single booking I had disappeared and I had no idea what to do with the extra time. A lot of parents I knew began home-schooling, so I started delivering free weekly live-streamed writing lessons from home, just to help them out (as well as any other families with kids looking for writing activities). Back then I thought I’d be run maybe six or seven sessions.

But oh no!

As the lockdown extended and more and more families joined us each week we just kept on going! In the end I ran sessions until schools went back in September (34 in all). Here’s a few examples.

In total these workshops have been viewed over 400,000 times and tens of thousands of kids (and adults!) have taken part in them from all over the world, which seems incredible to me.

We generated thousands of pieces of creative writing, some of the students even won competitions & got published! The project turned into one of the most rewarding experiences of my life & I’m so glad we were all able to meet up every week.

Now that everyone’s back at school (and that I’ve upgraded my tech!) I’m able to offer a wide range of really fun & interactive live-streamed workshops for class-sized groups. Each workshop is packed full of the best poems, raps & activities from these lockdown workshops. Each workshop lasts roughly an hour, is super fun & engaging & will help transform your students into thoughtful, independent writers.

Costs

Each hour-long workshop is available for £250. I’m also offering a reduced rate (£600) for a booking of three online workshops across a school term.

Note: I may need to charge more for International bookings that would require me working outside my UK working hours (9am-5pm). Feel free to message if you’re in another timezone - night-time school sessions are actually a lot of fun!
